I asked Muse to purchase a widely available thermostat. The only site that didn’t block Muse was the manufacturer website, which was 20% more. Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy all blocked it.

GeekWire's Todd Bishop examined Amazon blocking Muse's shopping agent and the open questions it raises about platform rules, revenue sharing and customer relationships in agent-driven commerce.

This is a small HTTP API you run on a machine you control. Muse SSHes in and calls http://127.0.0.1:8792. It can search Amazon and add to a personal cart or a Prime Business cart. GeekWire reports Amazon blocked Muse from making purchases as of September 20, saying the agent accessed its store without permission, didn't identify itself, and appeared to store credentials.

Asked my @muse to find the items from a saved IG reel. It "watched" the reel, matched everything across Amazon & Etsy, and loaded my carts with a few solid options per item. Spared me the research grind entirely.
